MARECHIARO GUIDED EXCURSION IN KAYAK

Starting from Marechiaro, a small fishing village, the kayak excursion allows you to explore the coast of Posillipo concentrating on the marine area of Marechiaro continuing navigation respecting the limits of the buoys we find the remains of a Roman building called the Palazzo degli Spiriti, which some they also call the Villa of Virgil, claiming that the spirit of the Poet is manifested there from time to time and swearing that they heard his verses declaim from a mysterious voice. In fact, Virgil actually stayed in Pousilypon, in the villa built at the extreme tip of Posillipo by Publio Vedio Pollione, a very rich man and close friend of the emperor Augustus, a grandiose complex, large and articulated, whose structures stretched between Marechiaro and the Cala di Trentaremi. Immediately after we find the Gaiola faced by three islets of which the largest is the Gaiola.
